Singer/composer Roger Miller won five Grammy Awards in 1965, and six in 1966.
Miller sang his biggest hits Dang Me (Smash 1881), King Of the Road (Smash 1965), Engine Engine No. 9 (Smash 1983), and England Swings (Smash 2010) in the 1966 movie The Big TNT Show.
In March 1963, while a part of a search party, Roger Miller discovered the crash site of the aircraft in which Patsy Cline, Hawkshaw Hawkins, and Cowboy Copas were killed.
